The Asian Trends Monitoring Bulletin is a project sponsored by
the Rockefeller
Foundation, New York, the Centre for Strategic Futures,
Singapore, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
The Bulletin focuses on three areas of strategic concern to
Asia’s well being and future development: 1) Trade and investment
facilitation, 2) Health systems, and 3) Energy security. The Asian
Trends Monitoring Bulletins are designed to encourage dialogue and
debate about critical issues that affect Asia’s ability to reduce
poverty and increase awareness of the implications for pro-poor
policy and policy development.
The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy gratefully acknowledges
the financial assistance of the Rockefeller Foundation and the
Centre for Strategic Futures, Singapore.
The opinions expressed in the Asian Trends Monitoring Bulletin
are those of the analysts and do not necessarily reflect those of
the sponsor organisations.
