Hanoi School Of Public Health is a University in Vietnam specializing in Public Health Training and Research.

The Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) was founded in 2001 when Public Health was a relatively new discipline, in particular undergraduate training in public health. The school was then faced with many duties to fulfil immediately with high quality and within a short period of time. However, with great efforts, the School has step by step overcome these challenges to prove itself.

Starting with a small number of permanent staff, the HSPH faculty now includes over 100 lecturers who hold master and doctorate degrees from leading universities around the world. From a start with small-scale research, the HSPH has begun to carry out large-scale research studies at the national level, some of which have been considered the largest research studies in the world at that time. As a result, the HSPH has become a leading public health research center. Training programs for both undergraduate and graduate levels have been developed, and the HSPH has come to be seen among the health community as a leading institution in Vietnam’s international relations. Through these international relations, the school has been able to invest more significantly in faculty and program development as well as to strengthen the effectiveness of its cooperative working environment.

Moreover, aware of the importance of developing the whole system, the school has played a significant role in organizing and running the Vietnam Public Health Association (VPHA). With such a scale and speed of development, the school has received great attention and encouragement from the Vietnamese government, through the Ministry of Health. The school has obtained approval to build the second campus and will receive funding for its construction. Its field laboratory in Chi Linh, Hai Duong, has been admitted to the INDEPTH network.

The school's development strategy focuses on the quality of training with the expectation that in five years, a standard training environment will be formed and run efficiently. This will make the school become a reliable international training center in Public Health.
